Entries w/o Customer/Job

This review highlights transactions missing a customer or project and lets you quickly assign them, with options to exclude non-applicable transaction types or accounts.

Overview

This review helps you identify transactions that are missing a customer or project assignment when you are tracking costs or expenses by customer/job. This ensures expenses are properly allocated for accurate job costing and reporting. With simple assignment and flexible configuration, Xenett makes job costing cleanup fast and accurate.


Enable the Review Point

If the review point is not already added:

  1. Click New

  2. Click Task/Review Point and select Entries Without Customer/Job from the library

  3. Click Add

If the review point is already added, simply click on it to open the review.


How to Interpret the Review Results

When you open this review:

  • You’ll see transactions that are missing a customer or project

  • Each transaction represents a cost or expense that is not yet assigned to a job

  • If a transaction appears here, it means customer or project tracking is incomplete


Recommended Actions

Based on the review results, you can:

  • Assign the correct customer or project to each transaction

  • Review and update transactions individually as needed

  • Exclude transaction types or accounts where customer or project tracking is not required


How the Review Works

Step 1: Open the Review Point

Click on the Entries Without Customer or Project review point to view all transactions missing a customer or project assignment.


Step 2: Assign Customer or Project

  • Select a transaction from the list

  • Choose the appropriate customer or project/job

  • Click Save

The transaction is immediately updated with the selected customer or project.


Step 3: Configure Exclusions (Optional)

If certain transactions should not require a customer or project:

  • Click Config

  • Exclude specific transaction types (for example, General Entries)

  • Exclude accounts where customer or project tracking is not applicable

  • Save the configuration

Transactions that meet the exclusion criteria will no longer appear in this review.
