Overview

If you use Jobs or Project Accounting in QuickBooks, transactions are sometimes posted to a parent customer instead of the correct sub-customer (job/project). Xenett helps you easily identify, review, and reclassify these transactions to the appropriate sub-customer.

This article explains how to use the Entries Posted to Parent Customer review point in Xenett.

Enable the Review Point

If the review point is not already added:

  1. Click New

  2. Click Task/review Point and Select Entries Posted to Parent Customer from the library

  3. Click Add

If it is already added, simply click on the review point to open it.

Review Parent-Level Transactions

Once opened, you will see:

  • A list of all transactions posted to parent customers

  • Customer and transaction-level details

Reclassify a Single Transaction

  1. Scroll to the Customer/Job column

  2. Select the correct sub-customer

The transaction updates automatically.

Reclassify Multiple Transactions (Bulk Action)

  4. Click Apply

All selected transactions will be reclassified together.

Exclude Customers from This Review Point

If certain parent-level transactions are acceptable and you do not want to see them again:

  2. Select the customers you want to exclude

  3. Save the configuration

These customers will no longer appear in this review point going forward.
