Notifications Preferences

Learn how to customize your notification preferences to control which system alerts you receive.

Overview

Notification Preferences allow you to control exactly which system notifications you receive. These settings are user-specific, meaning they apply only to your account and do not affect other users in your organization.

How to Access Notification Preferences

  • Go to Settings --> Notification Preferences section.


Admin-Specific Notification Behavior

  • By default, an admin receives notifications for all client files

  • If an admin wants to receive notifications for specific clients only, they can:

    1. Select the required client(s)

    2. Enable notifications only for those selected clients

Once configured, the admin will receive notifications only for the selected clients and not for every client.


Client Portal Notifications

  • Enable this option to receive an email notification when a client user:

    • Responds to a question, or

    • Sends a new request

  • Notifications are sent for client activity that occurred within the past hour.

  • This means you may receive a single notification summarizing any client responses or requests made since the past hour.


How to Configure Notifications (Step-by-Step)

  1. Review the list of notification options displayed

  2. For each notification type:

    • Enable it if you want to receive this notification

    • Disable it if you do not want to receive this notification


How Comment Notifications Work

You will receive notifications in the following situations:

  1. Assignment in a Comment
    If a user is assigned in a comment, only the assigned user is notified.

  2. @Mention in a Comment
    If a user is @mentioned in a comment, only the mentioned user is notified.

  3. Comment Reply and Status changes
    When a user Changes the status or replies to a comment, notifications are sent to:

    1. Comment creator

    2. Reply creator

    3. Assigned user

    4. Mentioned user


Task Status Change Notifications

  • You can choose the task statuses for which you want to receive notifications

  • Notifications are triggered only when the task is created by you or assigned to you

  • You will receive a notification whenever the selected task status changes

Project Status Change Notifications

  • You can choose the project statuses for which you want to receive notifications

  • You will receive a notification whenever the selected project status changes


Monthly Close Status Email

  • Enable this option to receive firm-level monthly project information

  • This notification option is only for the admin and useful for tracking overall firm progress and status

Daily Digest Email

  • Enable or disable this option to receive daily updates on task progress

  • Helps you stay informed about ongoing work without checking the system manually.


Important Notes

  • Notification preferences are personal and apply only to your user account

  • Changing your preferences does not affect other users
