Close Dashboard

The Close Dashboard gives you a firm-wide view of your clients' close health — all in one place. Track completed projects, spot delays before they happen, and monitor your managers' performance over time.

Overview

The close dashboard gives you a real-time view of your firm's close health across all clients. It brings together seven cards — each focused on a different aspect of close performance — so you can spot issues, track trends, and take action without jumping between screens.

All data shown is based on the clients you have access to. Use the date selector at the top to filter everything by a specific month.

Navigating the dashboard

  1. Go to Operational Report in the left sidebar

  2. Click Dashboard under Firm Level Insights

  3. Use the date selector at the top to pick the month you want to view — all cards update automatically

To customise your layout, click Customize in the top right. From there you can show or hide cards, drag them to reorder, and resize them to fit your workflow. Layout changes apply to everyone in your firm.

Close overview

Gives you a snapshot of where all your clients stand in the close process for the selected month.

The donut chart in the centre shows total clients, broken into segments:

  • On time completed — closed on or before the due date

  • Late completed — closed after the due date

  • Upcoming — not yet closed, due date is in the future

  • Overdue — not yet closed, due date has passed

  • No due date — not yet closed, no due date assigned

Below the chart you'll see a summary of total Completed and total Pending counts.

Clicking any number or segment opens a popup with the full list of projects in that group. You can search within the popup and export the list to Excel using the Export Excel button.

Critical overdue

Shows clients whose close date has passed by more than a set number of days and whose project is still incomplete.

Columns: Client name, manager, days overdue, due date

Rows are sorted by days overdue, highest first. Click Export Excel to download the full list.

To adjust the threshold, click Config on the card, enter the number of days, and click Save. The default is 7 days. Changes apply to your entire firm immediately.

Client by close status

Shows the number of projects grouped by their current project status.

Columns: Project status, number of projects

Click any project count to open a popup showing the projects in that status. You can search within the popup and export the list using Export Excel.

Click Export Excel on the card to download the full status breakdown.

Average close-time

Shows how long your firm is taking to close projects, plotted month by month.

Close time is measured from the last day of the close month to the date the project was marked complete. Only completed projects are included in the average.

Click any data point on the chart to see the list of projects that contributed to that month's average, including their compilation date and compilation days. You can export that list using the Export Excel button in the popup.

Click Export Excel on the card to download the monthly averages.

Clients at risk of delay

Flags clients who are likely to miss their close date based on two conditions that must both be true at the same time:

  • Days remaining to close date is at or below the configured threshold

  • Percentage of tasks still pending is at or above the configured threshold

Columns: Client name, due date, day remaining, pending task

Click Config to adjust the thresholds. Defaults are 3 days and 90%. Both inputs must be whole numbers. Changes apply firm-wide immediately.

Click Export Excel to download the full list.

Clients with repeated delays

Shows clients who have been consistently delayed over the last three months, including the current month. Each row shows the client's close performance per month alongside the responsible manager.

Columns: Client name, manager, and one column per month (most recent on the left)

Each cell shows one of the following:

  • Late by x days — completed after the due date

  • X days overdue — not yet completed, due date passed

Only clients with at least one delayed month beyond the configured threshold appear in this table.

To adjust the delay threshold, click Config, enter the minimum number of days past the due date that should count as a delay, and click Save. The default is 1 day. Changes apply firm-wide immediately.

Click Export Excel to download the full table.
