Overview
One-time Close Clean-up projects in Xenett are designed to help firms clean up historical accounting data for newly onboarded clients. These projects are typically used when prior-period records need review, correction, or reconciliation before regular recurring closes begin.
This article explains when to use a One-time Close Clean-up project, how to create one, and important limitations to be aware of.
Use Cases
One-time Close Clean-up projects are useful when you need to:
Clean up historical books for newly onboarded clients
Review and correct prior-period accounting data
Perform a close-like workflow for non-recurring historical periods
Prepare accurate opening balances before starting regular Monthly, Quarterly, or Annual Close projects
How to Create a One-Time Close Clean-Up Project
Go to the Client and open the Projects module.
Click New β Project.
Select One-time Close Clean-up Project.

Important: Accounting Period Access Limitation

If the clean-up requires access to accounting periods older than 15 months, you must contact Xenett Support.
How to Request Extended Access

How One-Time Clean-Up Projects Work

The key difference is that the project does not recur.
