Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Enable 2FA in Xenett to add an extra security layer, a verification code is required at each sign-in to protect your account and client data.

Updated this week

Overview

Xenett supports two methods: Email and Authenticator App (TOTP). You can enable one or both. 2FA is configured at the user level — enabling or disabling it affects only your account and does not impact other users in your firm.

Setting Up Email Authentication

  1. Go to Settings → My Account and scroll down to the Two-factor authentication (2FA) section.

  2. Click the toggle next to Email. A confirmation dialog will appear — click Enable to proceed.

Setting Up Authenticator App (TOTP)

  1. Go to Settings → My Account → Two-factor authentication (2FA) and click the toggle next to Authenticator App (TOTP).

  2. A QR code will appear on screen. Open your authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) and scan it.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app and click Set up.

If you see an error, wait for the code to refresh in your app (codes change every 30 seconds) and try again.

Signing In with 2FA

After entering your password, you'll be asked to verify your identity.

  • Email — enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your inbox.

  • Authenticator App — enter the current code shown in the app.

If both methods are enabled, you'll be prompted to verify using the Authenticator App by default. To use email instead, click Sign in another way.

Disabling 2FA

Go to Settings → My Account → Two-factor authentication (2FA) and click the toggle next to the method you want to turn off.
